Pack Your Bags: Essentials for the Road to Cultural Competency

Please join the New York State Department of Health (Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention) as they host a one-day training for public health professionals to improve cultural understanding and communication. The goals of this training session are:

• To understand what culture means and how it impacts our thoughts, actions and relationships within the community.
• To increase awareness of the diversity found in every community.
• To learn about the health beliefs and practices of diverse local groups.
