Diabetes: Disabling Disease to Double by 2050

This report, produced by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), summarizes the problem of diabetes in the United States and the CDC efforts to control and prevent it. The CDC plays an important role in the fight against diabetes in New York State.

The report emphasizes that diabetes is both preventable and controllable. It explains the partnerships that the CDC created to address this issue, which include state partnerships. New York State was the recipient of basic implementation funds in 2008.
