How Have Employers Responded to Health Reform in Massachusetts? Employees’ Views at the End of One Year

Based on 2006 and 2007 surveys of working-age adults (ages 18–64)in Massachusetts, this paper examines employers' responses to health reform as reported by their employees.

As plans circulate for New York State health care reform, there is concern that some plans could result in employers changing their practices with regard to insuring their employees. These changes would affect the cost of such programs. Studies like this one help to elucidate the effect of statewide health care reform on employer behavior.
