Iraq and Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund

The Iraq and Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund (IADIF) was created within the California Community Foundation (CCF) to provide funding to nonprofit organizations that offer direct services and other forms of assistance to American military personnel and/or their families who have been impacted by deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan.
To date, IADIF has awarded approximately $240 million to address these issues. IADIF made the following types of grants to projects and programs specifically benefiting those whose lives have been impacted by military deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan: capital projects, core operating support, direct service, policy & advocacy, public awareness, regranting and financial assistance and research. CCF no longer provides funding through IADIF, but will be releasing a white paper outlining “lessons learned” through this initiative in Summer 2009.
