IAVA: Community of Veterans

A joint effort of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) and the Ad Council, the Community of Veterans site is designed as a resource for our nation’s newest veterans. While addressing a range of topics, this site is ultimately a point of connection where Veterans are helping Veterans.
Comprising less than 1% of the population, veterans face challenges while feeling isolated and cut off from those to whom they can best relate—other veterans. The site allows users to reconnect with old friends, share videos and photos, create a group or start a discussion. In addition, the site provides a searchable database of resources on broad topics related to reintegration including veteran benefits, health, mental health, substance use, education, and housing.
