New York State Children's Health Insurance Program Enrollment Statistics

New York State’s Children’s State Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), called Child Health Plus, provides coverage for many low-income children in New York State. These tables show the enrollment rates in this program.

Quality, affordable health insurance for children is a must. Children need regular checkups, immunizations, and other preventive health services, as well as care for illnesses and accidents. Enrollment in SCHIP varies by county and health plan so current data on these trends is helpful to better understand the insurance coverage of New York's children.
