Amy Lee joined the New York State Health Foundation (NYSHealth) in August 2008. As Program Assistant, Ms. Lee works closely with the Senior Vice President and Program Officer on NYSHealth’s Special Opportunities and Health Insurance Coverage/Cost initiatives.
Prior to joining NYSHealth, Ms. Lee was an enrollment counselor for the MAXIMUS New York project, the New York Medicaid CHOICE, where she processed Medicaid managed care plan enrollments, transfers, and disenrollments for Medicaid and Family Health Plus recipients. Ms. Lee also educated recipients on managed care, and assisted them with selecting plans and filing grievances.
Ms. Lee was formerly a 2006 Project AHEAD (Asian Health Education and Development) intern at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center where she co-edited, translated, and distributed a survey examining Asian and Asian-American teens and stress to 450 teens in Chinatown and Flushing. As part of the internship, Ms. Lee shadowed health care workers and provided translational services at the New York Downtown Hospital.
Ms. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Stony Brook University.
