John Rito joins the New York State Health Foundation as finance associate and is responsible for performing all general accounting functions as well as assisting in human resources benefits administration. He has over 19 years of experience in the non- and for-profit sectors serving large and small organizations. Most recently, Mr. Rito held the position of senior accountant at the Wallace Foundation in New York City. Prior to that, he worked for Aon insurance company’s risk services and non-profit division in Washington, D.C., where his main duties included management of the accounting department for the nonprofit division. He started his accounting career with the Settle Agency in Danbury, Connecticut where he was responsible for all of the accounting functions. Mr. Rito holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
