Reducing the Number of Uninsured

Did you know that 2.7 million non-elderly New Yorkers are uninsured? Or that only 44% of very small firms (fewer than 10 employers) offer health insurance? NYSHealth's Health Insurance Coverage Resource Center is a reference point for many other pieces of useful information related to health insurance coverage and health care costs in New York State.

Improving Diabetes Prevention and Management

Did you know that an estimated 1.7 million New Yorkers have diabetes and an additional 451,000 people have diabetes and do not know it? NYSHealth's Diabetes Resource Center gathers information about publications, data sources, and organizations central to the effort to improve care for and reduce rates of diabetes in New York State.

Integrating Mental Health and Substance Use Services

Did you know that over 1.4 million New Yorkers have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders? NYSHealth's Resource Center for Integrating Mental Health and Substance Use Services was created to provide information on publications, data, organizations, initiatives and models of care that are key to the integration of mental health and substance use services in New York State.

Improving Health Services for Returning Veterans and Their Families

Did you know that 70,000 veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan reside in New York State and many of these veterans face mental and physical health challenges when reintegrating into their communities? NYSHealth's Resource Center for Returning Veterans and Their Families was created to provide information on publications, data, organizations, and initiatives that are key to addressing reintegration issues faced by these veterans and their families throughout New York State.
